you are not in crisis. you are competent, capable, admired, and somewhere underneath, no longer fully convinced by any of it.

mariya works with the part of you that the rest of your life has no room for. gently, and without a system to follow. what she offers has no single name. it is closer to a return than a method.

yoga

a practice rooted in presence. the body as the living intelligence.

through movement, breath and meditation we learn to listen, to release, and to restore natural ease while building strength. one to one, in person or online.

healing

here, the work goes where words do not reach.

a unique blend of forms, different every time, guided by what your body is ready to receive in the moment. mariya works with her hands, with sound, with her own voice, with the intelligence of plants. some of what happens has a name. some of it does not. she does not control this. she submits to it, and afterward marvels, every time, at what it resolves into. this is healing co-created with spirit, with whatever arrives for you. online or in person, both equally deep. one to one.

initiation

ninety days of guided self-unfolding, where body, breath and attention are used to reorganise identity, perception and the patterns you have stopped noticing.

this one-to-one container is the slow work, the kind that holds. it begins with a single session together, to feel whether ninety days is what you truly need.

retreat

the deepest container here. a mountain in the east of crete, five people or fewer, mariya fully present for the whole of it.

something shifts, not through technique but through being met completely. one to one, or with a small group. by invitation: if it calls you, write and tell her why you feel it is right for you, and she will let you know when there is space.

the people who come to mariya are rarely falling apart. they are functioning beautifully, and quietly exhausted by it.

she knows this terrain from the inside. she has moved through the world of everything and the world of nothing, and belonged wholly to neither: the runways of paris and new york before she was twenty, two decades at the centre of the international art world, and in other seasons a remote life in the nature, her bare hands in the soil, homes left and rebuilt from nothing more than once. she is not someone who read about rupture and return. she has lived both, repeatedly.

in the art world she refined a rare faculty: the ability to read what is rarely visible, the authentic from the imitated, the profound from the merely beautiful. that same perception now moves through her work with people.

her own path was long, and began in the childhood. for years she read widely across religion, science and philosophy, circling one question: the origin of all that is. the priests and books did not hold the answer. she has practised yoga since 2007, with teachers around the world, until meeting the one who would not let her stay comfortable, this woman taught her to turn her attention inward, off the page and into her own body.

inward was the threshold rather than the destination. further along, through experimentation and practice of awareness, the thing she had pursued through all those years and all those books showed itself, and it was simpler and nearer than she had imagined, having been in plain sight the whole time.

what followed was a path of self initiation rather than instruction, guided by the intelligence of the plants. she met her own nature, including the parts she had spent years trying to hide and control, the deep sensitivity to people and places that had felt like a flaw and turned out to be the instrument. as she stopped defending against it, her energy turned from self-destruction toward reconstruction. she learned, slowly, to stop being the author of the work and to become something closer to a vessel for it.

she did not keep this for herself. it began quietly, with those closest to her, in the ordinary work of easing the suffering she could reach, and grew from there into a practice. behind it is a conviction she does not hide: that the healing of a single nervous system and the healing of the world are the same labour at different scales, that it begins in our own hearts and our own homes, and that a life rebuilt around love rather than fear is not a private comfort but a contribution.

those who find their way to her usually carry a quiet sense that something is not quite right, not in their circumstances, but in some deeper, harder-to-reach layer of themselves. they are high-functioning, and holding far more than they show. the work does not hand them a system to follow. it offers a return: the slow, grounded movement from a life organised around adaptation toward one organised around truth.

mariya suggests the path lays through the body, across the full range of what she has learned: movement, breath, sound, voice, the intelligence of plants, and forms of attention that have no ordinary name. presence where there was performance. ease where there was effort. a life that quietly begins to fit.

she works with those for whom the usual answers are no longer enough.

"My mind and body have this sense of alignment that before starting with you, was challenging for me to reach. Your practice is true yoga — it is not a fitness routine. I find myself peeling back the onion that is me with each session, and for this, my teacher, I thank you."

healing

"I honestly feel like my whole field is getting cleansed and I plugged out of the timeline I'm in and plugged into the highest available timeline. This is not just yoga, this is body work and yoga and energetic upgrading in some other way my words cannot pin. I'm externally grateful."

— Julie Laenkholm

yoga

"Our yoga with you is a doorway back to ourselves, return to the source. You are my teacher, my guide, my sister, someone who feels so deeply and leads so softly, gently, and with such care. Thank you for holding this space and for guiding us home."

— Olga Ponomarenko

yoga & healing

"When it was truly hard for me — my body tense and contracted, my nervous system exhausted — practice with Mariya saved me. She feels a person's state so subtly that each session is like an individual meditation. It's as if she reads your inner rhythm and very gently leads you to where silence appears: a portal into a state where you are calm, where everything is okay simply because you exist. I had practiced yoga before, but never like this — deep, sensitive, very alive. Not about form, but about state. In that period of my life, these sessions literally held me."
